I've been practicing bonsai since 1998, beginning during my undergraduate studies at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.  My education in art, horticulture and interest in design, naturally led to the practice of bonsai.  Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to study under many bonsai artists and professionals throughout the US, with varying backgrounds and specialties.  I’m educated on the maintenance and refinement of a variety of species.

During my graduate studies in Savannah, GA, I started a blog, Branch Work, which I’ve now transitioned to this site.  You will also find galleries of bonsai, pre-bonsai, collected material and pottery.  The Native Yamadori section includes both raw and styled material from the Rocky Mountains.  The photos are current, but may only provide a view of one season, so I will be readily updating the galleries.
